After a trip to Portugal, the site operator looked around Lisbon Duty Free in the departures area of Lisbon Airport on Sunday 11 October 2026, before flying home to Incheon. This article collects the photos and shelf prices from that visit.
Prices are the euro (€) amounts shown on the shelf labels that day. Promotions and prices change often, and the amount in your own currency depends on the exchange rate when you pay. Where a label was too small or blurry to read with confidence, it was left out. Many duty free whiskies come in 1L bottles, so check the size before you buy.
At a glance
- Whisky: most major single malts and blends are on the shelves, but for a Korean shopper the prices were not especially attractive.
- Port: the shop has a dedicated port wine section, The Port Cellar, lined with brand cabinets. Many 10 Year Old tawny ports carried a "2 for €45" offer.
- Other Portuguese drinks: Moscatel de Setúbal, Vinho Verde (Alvarinho and Loureiro) and the cherry liqueur Ginja are all available.
The operator's view
For a Korean traveller, the exchange rate as of 11 October 2026 takes away much of the advantage of buying whisky at Lisbon Airport duty free, so it is not very tempting. Personally, the whisky range felt weaker than at other airports.
Portuguese wine, on the other hand, is a real strength, and prices are good too. Wine is often cheaper at liquor shops and supermarkets in central Lisbon. But if those shops are closed because it is Sunday, or you need to buy in a hurry, the airport duty free is a good place to buy wine. The range runs from fortified wines to wines from many Portuguese regions.
Port wine: The Port Cellar

The promotion stand near the entrance gathers 10 and 20 year old tawny ports from the major port houses.

Buying tips
- The standout deal was the mix-and-match "2 for €45" offer on 10 Year Old tawny port. If you are new to port, buying two different 10 Year Old tawnies to compare is a good start.
- For whisky, the bottles marked "Airport Exclusive" (The Balvenie 15 Madeira and 18 PX, Bowmore 14, Aberfeldy 16 and others) are about the only reason to buy here.
- Your home country's duty-free allowance for alcohol may limit the number of bottles, the volume and the value. If you are buying several bottles, check the customs rules before you fly.
- Port and Moscatel generally keep longer after opening than table wine, but it depends on the style. For storing opened bottles, see How long does an opened bottle of whisky last?.
